Was wondering why Camels are only 5 points more expensive than Cavalry when Camels are up in fighting v Cavalry. Would have thought needed to be somewhat more expensive than that. Bearing in mind difference it causes in dice colour.
Points are set to cost troops against the basket of opponents they may face in a game and not just a particular match-up; therefore, as the Camelry claim only applies against Cv and Ch it needs to be much lower than a claim that would apply against all troops and so may well look like good value against the troops it does apply against.
Only up in impact. I would prefer long spear Cavalry in three ranks who can ride impact and then cancel camel melee expert in melee. A much cheaper and better buy in my book. Also look at their factors against infantry. The best Cavalry per point you can buy. Cheap as chips.
Often mounted LS are unprotected ( arabs ) so good practice targets and a + in melee ..
