Title: Question about shooting Bases not Contributing to Combat
Post by: Agoz on April 23, 2021, 02:39:09 AM
Hey guys, so here is my question. I get that you are allowed to shoot at bases that aren't contributing to combat, that's fine, but what I'm not sure about is how that interacts with the rule "shooting files must target the nearest base in the target file." if that base IS contributing to combat but there are bases behind it that aren't. Does it prevent me from shooting at the unengaged bases as they are not the closest base?

Yes. You must target the nearest base in the file.  If the nearest base is in combat (and not a supporting file) then you cannot shoot at a the file.

Thanks Richard, I thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure.
