Title: Pacto 28mm Table Size
Post by: Agoz on April 10, 2021, 11:27:37 PM
Hey folks, I'm trying to figure out exactly how big a table should be for Pacto with a 60mm base width/28mm figures. The beginning of the book says 4'x3', however looking at the pre battle sequence, the width of the table is two 10 BW flanks and a 25bw center, and the deployment zones are 9bw each with 12bw between them. Halfing the base width from 60mm to 30mm Pacto means that the table should be (10+10+25)*30mm by (9+9+12)*30mm or 1350mm X 900mm which works out to 4.42' X 2.95'. So I guess my question is it better to go with 4'X3' or should I have a mat cut to 1350mm X 900mm for precision?

Go with whatever you want to.  Most 15mm competitions using 6' x 4' or 1800 x 1200 mm tables and 10,000 point games but that is only convention.

Okay, I guess I'll go with the 1350 X 900, as at the moment, it isn't any easier or more difficult to acquire than a 4'x3'. Thanks!
