Hi folks.
Hammy
Is the Bishop a goer under current restrictions or does it rely on any relaxations.  I'm going to a basho in York in 2 weeks and it's definitely on irrespective of further relaxations or not.

ArMeGeddon Update. Hammy and I have come up with a plan that ensures everyone gets to play toy soldiers that weekend. We are splitting the tournament, 16 players at Battlefield Hobbies and 12 players at my house in Ferring.

The 12 players in Ferring who have agreed to change all their arrangements (thanks guys) are
Robin S
Laurence D
James Mc
Ian N
Nik G
RJC
Matt H
Lance F
Ade N
Simon E
Nigel E
Ray D

Everyone else is business as usual at Battlefield Hobbies

What a fabulous and generous solution.
Hats off to Ray and Hammy for coming up with it.

A real gentleman. Will this be classed as two separate tournaments with no lineage between them.
Obviously delighted it is taking place but sad not to see so many friends I had hoped to catch up with.

I am minded to combine all the results as it makes it all warm and fuzzy and inclusive

How would combining work? In essence we have a fairy standard Swiss chess format with twelve players in the South with three pods with six players each in Daventry which are unrelated to each other. You are basically perming four opponents out of a pool of five.

Really great that the community are rallying round. Bringing tables, chairs, gazebos to Ferring for the event. They will get a full refund from the wonderful Battlefield Hobbies and I will provide lunch on both days without charge. Thanks all for your flexibility and your community spirit.

If you can rent us 9 tables and three gazebos suitable for hard standing delivered to my place, we could give it a go. We'll also need a car parking solution because all the roads near the beach are private with no visitor parking. I think accommodation near the beach is booked solid with staycationers. There might be campsites inland.

Never say never.
