What ho chaps!
Has anyone built a viable Maximillian/Late Medieval German lists?
7 Tugs at the mo.
2 keil w shooters (one upgraded to ME)
Longbow
2 x knights
Mounted xbows
Foot xbows
Skirmishing xbows
Skirmishing handgunners x2
Guns
CTM generals.

Sorry - never dipped my toes in those waters. John Munro has tried about every list imaginable though .....,.

i agree you want to get into contact fast with a kiel and avoid being shot at

I have not tried that army but do you need all that shooting ..a poor militia pike unit ( the militia ) might still be useful on table . It is not too costly and may protect a flank, be deployed 2 rank deep for frontage or be squeezed between your 2 keils and add some frontage at the cost of some mobility ( formed )
