Title: Late Ptolemaic
Post by: shaun on March 06, 2021, 10:00:49 PM
Couple of questions , 1 what has become of the Alex Mob? . 2 the remnant Romans, up to 16 bases and a general, and no Egyptians?

Not quite sure what you are exactly asking here.

Alex Mob? What does this refer to?

The Romans - are you asking for confirmation that they can only be in a command on their own with no other troops? If so, yes that is correct.

Was the Alexandrian mob not well known to rise at the drop of a hat,  JC needs something to kill to make him look good!. Yes that was my question and thought on Romans

I think the Alexandrian mob is appropriate to scenario games but I don't see how it fits into the normal Ptolemaic army.

OK can live with that, as you dont have a Hoard/Mob class how would you class then please if required? . Do the Gabini warrant any Gaulic/German support or is the contingent just to small to be useful

Mobs tend to be fairly useless, and not like to be dragged along on campaign with the exception of the peoples crusade. Take a look at the lists to see examples. I would tend to class them along the lines of:

Tribal Loose Unprotected Poor or Average plus any Special Characteristic you feel applies: Combat Shy, Aggressive or Fleet of Foot spring to mind. And in large units 8,9 or 10.
