Not painted anything for myself for a while, mainly been painting figures I didn't need for sale on the well known slave market - the proceeds of which, of course, finance new armies for me ;D
So these are the first results of that. Khmer figures from Outpost.

After a slight delay when I found I'd not ordered infantry sized bases before I ran out :P a second unit of Khmer infantry now finished. 15mm figures from Outpost Wargames Services. Used a VVV Japanese Mon transfer for the shield which I think works :)

Couple of new units for the army. Keeping it simple for the infantry, probably try and get fancier with the nellies when I get onto them :D

Another Khmer units rolls off the painting table and straight into the storage box until games are again possible :o
Cavalry (obviously) from Outpost Wargames Services as all the Khmer I have are. Cheap and cheerful and, importantly, based on the Angkor reliefs :D

Nice paintwork Nik!
I really like the horse armour, is it basecoat + shade + varnish ? or another method ?
Gilles " a view from the lead pile! 8) "
Pretty much all I ever do is colour and ink wash + varnish - maybe the odd bit of dry brushing.
And now the inevitable elephant mounted artillery for my Khmer - a pretty much compulsory part of the army really ;D

Khmer archers. Two units, one of skirmishers. Very ordinary troops, nothing fancy about them at all. Outpost Wargames Services 15mm figures. One more unit of infantry needed and the generals, plus maybe a camp and it'll be done 8)

Generals for my Khmer army which is now almost complete. Outpost figures again. Need to add a couple of banners to one as the C-in-C but need to work out how I want them to look first. Found a reference to white parasols being given by the king as a mark of honour hence why each general has one - hope they can justify them ;)
