Title: terrain size maximus
Post by: badhabum on December 10, 2020, 01:04:04 PM
In MEG the smallest terrain size is 4 X 4 BW . I still have a lot of terrain that is 4 X 3 BW or 4 X 3.5 BW and I suppose many other players too as it was a standard size .

So, in the future, would 4 X 3 be a possibility ?

In a friendly game this is not a problem but it is one for tournaments

My suspicion is that the slightly smaller size of your terrain bits isn't going to have much impact on a game. As far as tournament play goes, I tend to avoid that. I think the organizers ought to provide terrain to eliminate them as an issue.
Best regards

But it has a huge impact on all the terrains I have and cannot use  8) and they come from a australian provider so suspect many players have some  :)

Well, here is an idea. Cut a base made from very thin PVC or Basswood material that is the size you desire and then paint the boundaries to match up with the colors on the smaller terrain. You'll have a bit of a challenge but can blend the colors and add some odd bits that make it blend in. I think I know that terrain you have, it's rubber, and quite nice.

We got not many replies so I suppose we are not that many with terrain just under 4 X 4  :(

I'm guessing others with terrain pieces that are under-sized are just content to adapt what they have to use with the rules rather than the other way round.
