Title: Ilkhanids
Post by: nikgaukroger on November 11, 2020, 06:56:04 PM
New army started on Monday for Lockdown 2.0 - Ilkhanid Mongols. First batch of ordinary Mongol horse archers done - Legio Heroica figures (15mm). As usual with Legio Heroica figures they paint up nicely and quickly  8)

More Ilkhanid Mongols completed. Not sure what to do with the shields so just painted them basic colours for the time being whilst I await inspiration, then I'll go back to them - but this gets them on the table, or would if meeting up were possible   :-[

An Armenian allied contingent to finish off the Ilkhanid army - as far as any army is finished that is  ;)  The army has taken just 2 weeks to do, the advantage of a small army  8)

very nice and extremely quick work.
How fast are Legio Heroica in getting their figures to UK and how do they compare in size to Essex Miniatures?

I've usually got my order in about a week from when they are sent - of course with the changed circumstances from 1st January that may be affected and I haven't looked to see if there will be tariff implications ...

Size wise they are bit taller than Essex and chunkier - I wouldn't mix them.
