The early germans may have up to 12 cavalry bases . They may upgrade 0 to 6 bases to fierce cavalry .
The way the list is written that makes up to 18 bases or should the fierce cavalry be counted in the grand total of the german cavalry 12 bases ?
Regrade obviously applies to the 0-12 - it is those who are being regraded after all otherwise it wouldn't say regraded.
OK, clear. May I suggest that a next version of the army list should read 'up to half' rather than '6', like it does in other instances? That way the relation is unequivocal.
Cheers

No. Up to half is not the same. 0-6 for a regrade means that you can take only 6 and they can all be regraded. Up to half means that in order to regrade 6 you will have to take 6 without regrading them. The wording in lists is precise for a reason.

I asked the question because we were divided on it a player taking the 12 bases + the 6 bases for a friendly game . So I wanted to be 100% sure ...I read it correctly but sometimes you need confirmation :)
That player being me, hence my interference. ;D
