Post by: Brucka on September 22, 2020, 04:24:19 AM
So, in Pacto, with one base units, such as chariots and elephants, one wound and they are broken immediately?

TuGs are broken on > 50% casualties, so 2 wounds. (In other words, don't bother with fanatic :), at least for 1 unit TuGs.)

Yes 2 wounds.
You will find the trade off between 1s and 2s quite interesting.

I use 1s with my NKE chariots but if they start routing itngets messy very quickly as they have little resilience.

As we are writing about chariots and Pacto : chariots which are experienced/skilled still need to be 2 deep to shoot full effect ?

I ask because of the many exemples of units of 1 chariot which for experienced shooters is ..not efficient !

As you will see from the table on page 157 only SUGs or TUGs in skirmisher formation have different depth requirement for shooting in Pacto (and Magna), TUGs are the same in all versions of the rules.

It's a trade off between width and firepower.
I prefer 1base chariot in Pacto AS LONGAS you don't get them caught.
So works well with NKE where being skilled they are often back to white.
And I prefer 2 white to 1 green with he wider frontage.
Choices ...
