Hello, my first post on here.
Inspired by a first couple of games with MeG, I have a dug out a 15mm Late Roman army that I started (and didn't get very far with) in the 1980s and am completing it and rebasing for MeG. I've just finished the first unit - a Legio Comittensis: Lanciarii Gallienci Honoriani. The figures are a mix of old Minifigs and one each from Asgard / Table Top Games and Museum Miniatures. The Painting is also a mix of old 1980s, tidying up and completely new.

There are some more pictures and further explanation on my blog.

Very nice indeed.
Looking good
Wow.
Fantastic painting. And I love the painting along the base edge too.
Considering most army photos are taken 1-3 feet away, that yours excels in zoom is a testament to the care and skill that have been used.
Look forward to seeing more! And welcome to MeG!

Look great. Your Italian wars stuff on the blog look beautiful too. I have a whole heap of Venexia Landsknechts waiting to be painted, unfortunately I won't be able to reach such a high standard!
Those are beautiful. 8)
Thanks very much for the kind comments.
I've finished another unit now and just sorted out the pictures so I could post it on my blog.
This time I mostly re-used old painted figures - not a great idea as the degree of re-painting needed to bring them to near modern standards was probably more than if I'd stripped them and started again! I also hit a few problems with figures irreparably damaged by lead rot though this did give me the opportunity for a bit of conversion and modification work to make something out of odds and ends from the lead pile.

As before, I've a few more pictures and fuller description on my blog.

By the way, does anybody know why the pictures appear so huge - the originals are much smaller when I view them as full size but here they are so big I have to scroll across them.
save a copy as a smaller image. Then post that.
You can specify the size in the BBcode. So you have the image tags
[IMG]your url here [/IMG]
add the width the parameter (in pixels)
[IMG width=900]your url here[/IMG]
so for example same image displayed at 700 pixels

Thanks to Administrator for that useful advice, I've updated my original posts to show the images 800 pixels wide.
Now I just need to get some more completed.
