Come on guys get your tickets bought, we have 10 tables so a decent sized tournament. Full refund if cancelled
I would love to attend the competition, but there is more information I would need to know before I would consider booking...
What Covid safety measures are you taking?
How much space will there be between tables?
Will any other people/groups be present?
What sort of cleaning regime is in place?
Have you done a risk assessment?
Richard
Richard,
I have forward your information request to the event committee, will post a reply when they get back with details
In addition to Richard's questions I'd ask the committee how the event can comply with the following from the govt's guidance:
Quote
It remains the case that you should not:
socialise indoors in groups of more than two households (anyone in your support bubble counts as one household) – this includes when dining out or going to the pub
Taken from this page - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do#social-contact-and-events
Thanks.
The government guidance may have changed by then, although they have indicated it won't be changed before 1st October.
The problem for most venues is that their insurance is invalidated if they don't follow government guidance.
It is guidance, not legislation (because the government doesn't currently have the powers to make it illegal to socialise), so holding an event wouldn't be breaking the law. It would however be stupid...
Entered CID and Myself.
I've entered, MEG available lists question, any reason 'Pompeian Numidian' seems to be excluded?

The list have been done using The Historical Enemies PDF, Pompeian Numidian are not on the list of enemies for Later Republican Roman probably should be.
Best Regards
Geoff

This has already been spotted and will be corrected in the next version.
Richard
Recived this today from one of the event organisers.
Jay at Element games has responded as follows
I am off furlough and back full time from tomorrow (All of our comms has been while I was off) so going forward communications won't be an issue.
The quick answer to the COVID measures:
- All tables are 2m apart.
- The bar is closed but we will run full table service for drinks.
- We have decreased capacity to 48 people (this is subject to change as guidelines do).
- All terrain and tables are disinfected overnight to ensure no cross contamination by touching communal terrain ect..
- All patrons are asked to sanitise on the way in, and out of the venue.
- Increased cleaning schedule.
- Entrance via Hallam St to separate the store and venue.
- Single staff member for entire event to limit exposure via staff to customers.
Once back I will send you a full list of our COVID control measures alongside a report on tickets for each of your events.
Thanks,
Jay
Footnote from me
We normally have around 100 players plus participating, so amount drastically reduced to safe space
I will post any new information as it arrives
I have cancelled each FB event with the following message
Sad Day
