I do like to see pictures of other people#s toys on the table. And even more useful: by reading it I learned something a little subtle about the rules that I had not understood previously :)

Having now seen it pointed out, it seems very obvious...but I had quite figured out all of the implications of the rules as written. That is one of the downsides of all my games to this point having been solo - my opponent always agrees with my own assumptions no matter how unfounded!

In this case I outguessed my opponent and knew he would have to charge to get me out of the way . I surprised him by shooting ( skilled shooters ) and accepting the charge ...and launching my own charge first "frontally" but latter in the flank as I charged second after his first charge ...but still it was a very very close thing .

Hi badhabum,

Thank you very much for all your reports. I have not visited the forum for long so I completely missed them. I am thus happy you pointed me in the right direction with your blog comment :)

I am now browsing through your games. The most interesting for me are the ones that have Byzantines as this is another army I would be interested in. Perhaps earlier period (if I ever get to collecting one at all!) but still interesting to see them in action.

Thank you for your efforts in preparing the reports, keep them coming!

Excellent report of an interesting battle. However, it fails to mention a legendary feat.
The Pharao's Exceptional Chariots (206 points each) were destroyed by a great shot of 4  poor slingers (27 points each) !    I understand why the Pharao is keeping this quite, but despite the Akkad army was beaten, this single heroic act lives on forever in Akkadian songs and formed the basis of the later story known as David vs Goliath.

You got a memory problem ! look at the pictures your slingers missed but at impact my chariots did kill your infantry TUG lead by your legendary general and at impact you rolled a black die causing the final deadly wound on a TUG that had already killed 4 TUGs ( Cart, bowmen, guard axemen and finally the spearmen ) so not bad for an exceptionnal TUG ! Look well at the picures and you will notice that my exceptionnal chariots are in contact with your spearmen after declaring the charge and that both TUGs do dissapear after impact  8) my not propaganda is based on proof ... ;D
