Title: ground and figure scales in historical refight
Post by: Paul H on July 07, 2020, 09:35:12 PM
Dear all, I have just got the rules and am going to organise a refight of the battle of Chaeronea. The Greeks have 28000 hoplites covering a front of 2.3 km in 12-man files (plus skirmishers). Any suggestions how to go about translating this into Magna TUG strengths (and indeed, depths)?

PS I can work the rest out from that

A very rough guide I use to start with is 500 figures a base for close order troops.
So 58 bases at full strength.  So Maximus In would likely have 10x6 TuGs and in Magna 10x4 and Pacto 10x2.

How about SuGs? 500 per base, as a rough starting point also? 250? 250 for foot and 125 for horse?
