With this rule,Smaug,an ancient Dragon,would be a serious badass. I assume we explain the shot of Bard the Bowman over Laketown as the 6th wound. Bard is a superior bowman,so he get a wound in on an S with a black die?

Yes indeed.
Skilled light artillery from the film ...  straight skull when carrying one wound - there missing chink of armour.

OK, hated that part of the movie, but I shall not be small minded. I like the rule for Dragons very much.

The ay this is going, I may be forced to buy a load of PSC Goths to paint up as Riders of Rohan. I already have plenty of Dragons!
