Hi,
I'm sure I must be getting something wrong but I cannot get points to load for Men at Arms when I try to load in the army builder.
I am trying (first time building a force list) to build an army for Yorkist English. All other entries - Retinue longbow, Billmen etc work fine, but when I enter the stats for Men-at-Arms it does not give anything in the points columns.
I have tried re-entering and I have tried reloading the balnk list from the site and starting again - I have entered all the stats as stated in the army list from "Kings in the North" and double checked them.
Can someone tell me where I am going wrong or is this a glitch in the army builder.
Also - I'm not clear why infantry men-at-arms get the Dismountable stat as they clearly aren't on horses!
Many thanks
Nick
The usual problems when no points are being shown are (1) if it is points per base no UG No has been entered in columns A and (2) if it is total points for the unit that no number has been entered into the number of bases column O. After that I'm not sure as it work sOK for me.
Infantry MAA can optionally have Dismountable to represent them riding to where they want to fight with the intention of not fighting mounted and then dismounting and sending the horses away. Can allow them to move a bit faster to begin with but then you have to pay a card to dismount otherwise they are disadvantaged in melee. In other lists other "mounted infantry" get this characteristic as well for the same reason.
Thanks Nik - much appreciated. I'll give it another go. :)
The problem seems to be when I enter "Fully Armoured". Both stand cost and total appears until then - after I enter they both change to "0".
Can't help on that I'm afraid - I can't replicate that issue myself, I get a points cost regardless of which armour option I choose from the drop down even ones that don't apply to infantry (or cavalry trying that).
What spreadsheet are you opening the sheet in? That may be an issue I guess.
Ahh, thats it. Tried my old MS laptop instead of mt Mac and it works perfectly.
Thanks for the help Nik.
