I've been under the impression that all elements in a unit Must have the same Quality.....average/superior ect.
If this is Not correct please advise.
There are 2 Army lists I am interested that appear to allow superior and average elements in the same units.
Serbian Empire: "Vlastela can be combined in -TuG of 1/2 fully armored and 1/2 protected.
There are 3 types of Vlastela: Best vlastela (fully armored Superior)
Vlastela in western panoply (fully armored Average)
Vlastela (protected Average)
I have assumed that you can mix units identified as Vlastela.
Can you also mix Best vlastela with Vlastela???
Georgian: Cavalry Comprising front rank Aznuri and Rear rank Retainers.
1/2 Aznauri protected Superior
1/2 Retainers protected Average
Are these list specific? or have I missed a general rule that allows the mixing of QUALITY.
Thanks for the Help.

Hi Lenney,
No, you cannot mix units identified as Vlastela. In the introduction it makes it clear that unless specified otherwise, all elements in a UG must be classified identically.
In the Georgian list it does specifically allow front/rear rank retainers.
A UG can have elements of mixed quality where specifically identified in the list (so yes, it is list specific). Each element fights with its own quality. For KaB tests, you always take the lowest quality that the UG started with.
The Serbian army list states under NOTES:
"Vlastela can be combined in mixed-Tug of 1/2 fully armored and 1/2 protected"
So how does one resolve that point of information.
I have assumed it refers to Vlastela on the list that are identified with a Capital V
Thus you can mix Vlastela in western dress (average/fully armored) and Vlastela (average/protected).
Please take another look and thanks once again.

Apologies, should have checked the list more carefully before replying.
The notes could be clearer, but yes you can mix either the Best vlastela or Vlastela in western panoply with the Vlastela.
